Choosing The Right Rope
Choosing the Right Rope can be difficult, there are many types of material choices and braid styles. Let us help you decide what is right for you!
Why Material matters:
Some fibers can stretch, some can float, resist high temperatures, or provide extreme strength.
Nylon - Stretches up to 30% - this makes for an excellent choice for a shock absorbing line. Our Nylon ropes are all coated with a UV and abrasion resistant Marine finish to improve the lifespan when subjected to sun for extended periods of time. Perfect for Anchor Lines, Dock Lines, Towing & Recovery due to its shock absorption.
Polyester - Great for low stretch applications, Naturally UV and chemical resistant and also coated with our UV and abrasion resistant Marine finish to enhance it even further. This is a great choice for Rigging and pulling applications, outdoor decoration, Static Lines, Sailing Rigging.
HMPE - Also commonly known as Amsteel, Dyneema, or Spectra rope - this fiber is extremely strong and has extremely low stretch. Our HMPE is coated with our UV and abrasion resistant Marine finish. Its chemical resistant and it is one of the few fibers that can float on water. A great choice for Steel Cable replacement, Synthetic Winch Lines, Rigging applications, Marine & Boating, and so much more.
Braid Styles:
3-Strand Twisted - This style of rope is Dense, Durable, and Economical. It runs well through rigging, and provides good grip, Making it a great all purpose rope for many utility applications.
Single Braided - Our Single Braided Ropes are 12 Strand Hollow Braided, making it easy to splice, grip, and provide optimum strength.
Double Braided - Our Double Braided ropes provide a more round profile than the Single Braided ropes, as well as providing abrasion resistance to the core of the rope with a 24 strand sheath.
